Reuter informsthat this month Roskomnadzor and major telecom operators intend to test in Tyumen equipment to block Telegram and other resources and services prohibited in the country.
“Roskomnadzor handed out equipment, with the help of department specialists, we are installing it now. Everyone (the operators involved in the testing) put him in Tyumen, ”one of the sources of journalists claims.
“Testing will be held in Tyumen on real users. According to its results, we’ll understand how it works, what kind of malfunctions there are, and so on, ”says the second source, adding that testing should be completed by the end of September.
The interlocutors also said that this equipment is a hardware-software complex of the Russian manufacturer RDP.ru, in which Rostelecom owns 15%. In the spring of this year, the media wrote that the decision of RDP.ru was recognized as the most effective in the course of a laboratory experiment.
