This week representatives of the Slovak cryptocurrency exchange Eterbase reportedthat the company has become a victim of hackers. During the attack, about $ 5.4 million were stolen from six hot wallets of the exchange in various cryptocurrencies: Bitcoin, Ether, ALGO, Ripple, Tezos and TRON.
In the official Telegram channel, representatives of Eterbase admit that they noticed the attack, but, unfortunately, were unable to stop it. According to experts, most of the stolen funds eventually went to the Huobi, Binance and HitBTC exchanges. Now experts of the affected resource are working on tracking transactions, cooperating with law enforcement agencies and hope that colleagues from the listed exchanges will help block hackers and freeze stolen funds.
#Eterbase will continue with operations!
Our investigation shows a big part of stollen funds ended up on @binance, @HuobiGlobal, and @hitbtc…

Currently, all operations on Eterbase are suspended, but the company assures that the exchange is about to resume work (after the completion of the investigation and audit), as it has a sufficient amount of reserve funds.
